Cave Painting Australian Aboriginal Art

I need some help with my year 12 art practical! HELP ME PLEASE?

my theme is divine intervention but i’ve branched out to times in my life when i’ve been struck by my surroundings. i’ve chosen a time i visited some Aboriginal communities and my idea so far is simply to paint some of my photos i took from that trip. landscape painting is not what i want to do and i need some help expanding on it and making it memorable and individual, not just a landscape. at the moment, i’m trying to incorporate text into my painting but it’s still lacking. i’m open to any ideas for styles i could try, symbols i could include or even a whole new direction. i’m uninspired by this branch but it’s sorta too late to change it totally now, so something along this line i reckon…
also, can anyone suggest any artists who they know of that work with the theme of divinity, i.e religion, or just a greater power in the universe.

Maybe for the text you could use desert plains with cracks in them that form the words you want to say,,, or pieces of desert wood ingraved. it would be good because you wouldn’t have to worry about landscaping if you had just the desert plains as a back drop. devine intervention,,, maybe look to some of the oldies – da vinci, etc, etc. like he used clouds where god was reaching out to adam, this idea can be incorperated into the memory idea, like when you see in story books people remembring or imagining things they always do it in clouds. if you wanted you could possibly tr doing this kinda painting on some buffalo skin or something like that and that would give it a nice authentic tribal look when its hanging on your wall. i don’t really like symbols myself in pantings unless they are abstract so maybe if you do find some symbols maybe style them to that effect.
Ultimately, you want to think of these idea’s but twist them to your own vision.
